World's longest bridge in China is going to open later this year. It links the Chinese cities
Qingdao with
Huangdao, with
26.4 miles long, around 42.49 KM.
The
Qingdao Haiwan Bridge took four years,
10,000 workers, and more than $8 billion to construct.
The previous record-holder,
Louisiana's Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, is all of three miles shorter.
This bridge will welcome up to 30,000 cars per day across its six lanes.
