Avianova Airlines Commercial Shows Flight Attendants in Bikinis, Causes Uproar. The Association of Flight Attendants in Australia is furious about a new TV commercial for a Russian airline Avianova. The promotion shows four stewardesses dressed in skimpy bikinis very suggestively washing down an airliner belonging to the company.

According to the Association this type of advertising objectifies cabin crew as a way to sell seats sends out completely wrong message, and encourages the abuse and sexual harassment of cabin crew.

The association went on to say that the portrayal of female cabin crew in this manner was very distasteful and demeaning, as well as being completely irrelevant to the job they actually perform.
